About the Prize
The Heinz Hopf Prize at ETH Zurich was established thanks to a donation received from Dorothee and Alfred Aeppli. The CHF 30,000 award honours outstanding scientific achievements in the field of pure mathematics. The prize is awarded every two years on the occasion of the Heinz Hopf Lectures, which already have a long-standing tradition at ETH Zurich. The lectures are given by the laureates.
